Who we are
PoPIT Media of Randall Way, Retford, Nottinghamshire DN22 7GR is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@popit.media.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what we need in order to reply to you and do the work.
- If you email us or fill in a form, we keep your name, email address, phone number, website address and anything else you choose to tell us, so we can reply and pick up the conversation later. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, because you have asked us to get in touch.
- If you become a client, we keep the billing and contact details needed to invoice you and run the project. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract, and legal obligation for the records HMRC requires us to keep.
- If you use the chat on this site, we keep the conversation so that we can answer you and follow up.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no advertising cookies and does not use analytics software. The chat button keeps a random visitor number in your browser, so a conversation carries on when you move between pages. While you are on the site it also tells us which page you are viewing and roughly which town you are in, so we can answer in context. It does not know your name unless you tell us. If any of this changes, this page will be updated first.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. The companies that host this website and handle our email process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to acting on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after twelve months. Client records are kept for seven years after the end of the relationship, because HMRC requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to us using it, or ask us to restrict how we use it. Email hello@popit.media and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
