What it involves
Search engine optimisation is a grand name for a simple job: when somebody nearby searches for what you sell, they should find you. For a local business most of that comes down to your Google listing and the words on your own pages, with links from other local sites helping at the edges. If we build your website, the groundwork is done before launch and 12 months of SEO are included in the price. For a site you already have, we do the groundwork in your first month and then work month to month, with no long contract.

The PoPIt Preview, free with your quote
Before you commit to anything, you see a first look at your home page, the pages we would build and a quick look at three local competitors. It costs you nothing.
Live 6 to 8 weeks after you say yes
The launch date goes in writing the day you accept your Preview, with design sign-off counted in. It holds as long as your words and feedback reach us on the dates we agree.
One price covers your first year
The build, then 12 months of SEO, support and standard hosting on Amazon Web Services (AWS), with no separate bills. If anything goes wrong in that year, we fix it. Shopify shops are hosted by Shopify.
You only pay when you're happy
The Preview is free. After that, every payment follows a yes from you, and the last one is only due when you're happy with the finished site and it goes live.

Our prices are on this site and the calculator gives you a figure now. There is no quote for a quote.
No lock-in
The site is yours. After the first year, we help you move it into an AWS account in your name, or keep looking after it.
SEO: your questions
Is SEO included with a new website?
Yes. Every website we build comes with 12 months of SEO and no separate bill: the groundwork before launch, then ongoing work and a plain-English report each month. New pages are quoted separately, so if a search is worth a page of its own, we tell you the price before we write it.
How long before I see results?
The groundwork is finished before launch, or in your first month for a site you already have. Rankings then take time to move: for a local business in a smaller town, three to six months is realistic. Your Google listing can improve much faster, sometimes within weeks. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is guessing.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. SEO for a site you already have runs month to month, and either of us can stop it with 30 days' notice. With a new website, the first 12 months are included in the price.
Can you guarantee first place on Google?
No. Google does not sell those places and it changes its rankings all the time, so a guarantee of first place is a gamble with your money. We show you where you rank now and report every month on where you have moved to.
Is SEO worth it for a small local business?
Usually, yes. Far fewer firms compete for a search like "joiner Retford" than for "joiner", so the top of the page is within reach for a small business.
